WH05 Whitby Whale

Photograph of the Whitby Whale jaw bone arch on the West Cliff of Whitby, this is one of the most popular walking routes down into the town and harbour and piers. The whale bones were donated by Alaska in April 2003 to replace the original which was erected about 1853. Whitby Abby can be seen framed by the arch.
